About Us
history
Covenant Presbyterian Church (CPC) traces its historical roots to the Reformation in Europe and Scotland where reformers such as Martin Luther, John Calvin and John Knox rediscovered the gospel of salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.
In the early 1970s the founding members of Covenant Presbyterian Church became concerned with the theological and biblical drift of the main-line Presbyterian Church USA. They decided to form a new church, true to the Scriptures, the Reformed Faith and Presbyterian government (Presbyterian means “rule by elder”).
Thus, in 1973 Covenant Presbyterian Church was formed. It continues to be a church true to the Scriptures and the Reformed Faith.
As the Sunday School song goes...I am the church, you are the church, we are the church together...all who follow Jesus, all around the world, yes we're the church together.
